Empowering Africa's next generation through decentralized education, practical experience, and community-driven opportunity.
Who We Are
Build a DAO Ethiopia (BaD Ethiopia) is a student-founded, community-first organization evolving into a fully operational DAO. We turn curiosity into capability and capability into careers — by training students in Web3, funding community projects, and connecting Africa's youth to real opportunities.
Mission & Vision
Mission
Empower Africa's next generation through decentralized education and community-driven opportunity.
Vision
By 2030, launch Africa's first DAO-driven Blockchain University and position student-led R&D as a new economic engine.
Why Now
Africa is the youngest continent (~75% under 27). Web3 offers tools for ownership and transparency. BaD Ethiopia is the on-ramp: credible programs, local leadership, and a path from first workshop to first job.
What We Do
Programs
Bootcamps, hackathons, residencies, and an annual conference.
Incubation
We incubate student projects and provide necessary resources.
Placement
Connecting talent with internships in partner ecosystems.
Governance
Transparent, rotating-governance for resource allocation.
How We're Different
We're a DAO without speculation. No governance token. Just accountable, rotating councils and clear proposals.
Our Core Principles
The values that guide how we learn, build, and govern—openly, locally, and together.
Empowering the community through distributed governance and decision-making power.
Fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning in blockchain technology.
Building trust through open-source code and publicly verifiable on-chain actions.
Creating a welcoming environment for all, regardless of background or expertise.
Stronger Together.
We partnered with the best to bring the blockchain revolution to Ethiopia.
